Kakomiyado Kowane is a traditional Japanese townhouse over 100 years old, beautifully renovated into a modern yet authentic private accommodation on Shodoshima Island in the Seto Inland Sea.

Located in the famous "Maze Town" (Meiro no Machi), this unique neighborhood was intentionally designed with narrow winding alleys and a labyrinth-like layout to protect residents from pirates and harsh coastal storms in centuries past. Once you step inside the maze, you may feel as though you've entered another world where every corner reveals a new discovery.

What makes this town truly special is the warm and nostalgic atmosphere created by the close-knit community. The sounds of families gathering around dinner tables, the aroma of home-cooked meals drifting through the alleys, and the friendly connections among neighbors create a sense of comfort and belonging that is difficult to find elsewhere. The people of Maze Town often share relationships as close as family.

Kakomiyado Kowane features three bedrooms and can accommodate up to nine guests, making it an ideal choice for families, friends, and group travelers seeking an exclusive stay.

Experience the charm, history, and local culture that can only be found in the Maze Town of Shodoshima, and enjoy an unforgettable stay away from the ordinary.
